Erling Braut Haaland (born 21 July 2000) is a Norwegian professional footballer who plays as a forward for German Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund and the Norwegian national team. A prolific goalscorer, Haaland is known for his pace, athleticism, and finishing skills, earning him the nickname “The Terminator” by many of his admirers. He is considered one of the best strikers in world football. Haaland started his career at his hometown club, Bryne, in 2016 and joined Molde the following year. spent two seasons with the club before signing for Austrian outfit Red Bull Salzburg in January 2019.

 

In Salzburg, he won two Austrian championship titles and one Austrian cup. Haaland became the first teenager to score in five consecutive UEFA Champions League games in the 2019/20 season. In December 2019 he made a move to Borussia Dortmund for an alleged fee of around 20 million euros.

 

Haaland also won the 2020 Golden Boy Award. In 2020/21 he was an integral part of Dortmund’s victory in the DFB-Pokal, winning the Bundesliga Player of the Season award and becoming the Champions League’s top scorer.

He made his senior debut for Norway in September 2019, following the FIFA U-20 World Cup 2019, where Haaland won the tournament’s Golden Boot after scoring nine goals in a single game.
